Effect of Structured Physical Activity Programs on Physical Fitness and Body Compotition Among Junior High School: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Resumen

Resumen: El objetivo del estudio es determinar cómo un programa organizado de ejercicio físico podría mejorar la composición corporal y la aptitud física. El método de investigación utilizado fue un experimento mediante la comparación de las dos intervenciones en los grupos de control y experimental. La muestra en este estudio fueron estudiantes de secundaria en total 60 con una división de 30 muestras del grupo de control y 30 muestras del grupo experimental. La técnica de muestreo es un muestreo aleatorio estratificado que considera el género, el índice de masa corporal (IMC), el nivel inicial de aptitud física. Programa de intervención de actividad física estructurada con una frecuencia de 3 veces por semana y una duración de 60 minutos por sesión. Con base en la prueba t independiente, hubo un aumento en la variable flexiones, abdominales y VO2máx de los estudiantes en la prueba posterior con un valor p <0,05. Mientras que los resultados de la prueba t pareada de las evaluaciones pretest y postest muestran un valor t > valor p. El grupo experimental y el grupo de control difirieron significativamente (p = 0,033). El grupo experimental mostró un IMC más bajo con una diferencia de 1.04, el tamaño del efecto mostró un efecto moderado (d = 0.563). Hubo una diferencia significativa en el porcentaje de grasa corporal entre los dos grupos (p = 0.017), el grupo experimental tuvo un porcentaje de grasa corporal más bajo con una diferencia de 0.36%. El tamaño del efecto mostró un efecto moderado (d = 0.634). Hubo una diferencia altamente significativa en la grasa visceral (p = 0.003), el grupo experimental mostró una mayor reducción en la grasa visceral con una diferencia de 1.00. El tamaño del efecto mostró un efecto grande (d = 0.806). Hubo relaciones significativas entre todos los pares de variables. La fuerza de la correlación varió de fuerte (0.884 - 0.937) a muy fuerte. Un programa de actividad física estructurado que incluya el desarrollo de habilidades de movimiento fundamentales, entrenamiento en circuito, actividades deportivas, puede proporcionar varios beneficios para los estudiantes.
