“Si quieres ser profesional del fútbol no puedes estudiar”: una intervención para debatir creencias

Resumen

Introducción: la finalidad de esta investigación fue fomentar las creencias adaptativas de los estudiantes-deportistas en relación con la posibilidad de compaginar fútbol profesional y estudios superiores para promover su desarrollo integral y su Salud Mental (SM). 

Objetivo: diseñar, implementar y evaluar una intervención basada en la Terapia Racional Emotiva Conductual (TREC). 

Metodología: el muestreo fue intencionado y por conveniencia. Los participantes fueron estudiantes- futbolistas (N = 44), entre 14 y 16 años de edad, que presentaron las puntuaciones altas en creencias desadaptativas (Jordana, Ramis et al., 2023). 

Resultados: los participantes realizaron tres sesiones de formación en TREC. Las creencias desadaptativas detectadas en el cribaje previo fueron modificadas con la intervención.

Discusión: partiendo de los resultados recogidos en un grupo focal, también se pudo ver que las características de la intervención resultaron satisfactorias y se pusieron de manifiesto algunos aspectos a mejorar. 

Conclusiones: en general, este trabajo contribuye a adaptar la utilización de la TREC en el contexto deportivo de manera colectiva y, en particular, a la gestión de situaciones fuera del campo, en sintonía con la Carrera Dual Superior (CDS).
