Meta-revisión del papel de la Educación Física en la mejora del bienestar social y la equidad entre los jóvenes indonesios

Introducción: Los jóvenes indonesios deben estar preparados para contribuir a la promoción del bienestar social, la equidad y la justicia. Esta preparación requiere la Educación Física (EF), como un desarrollo integral del niño más allá del aula, y es coherente con el cuarto Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible de la UNESCO.
Objetivo: El objetivo de este trabajo es considerar el potencial transformador de la EF en relación con la inclusión social, la salud emocional y la equidad para todos los jóvenes, en particular para aquellos pertenecientes a grupos marginados.
Metodología: Se utilizó un método de revisión exploratoria para buscar sistemáticamente literatura procedente de diversas fuentes acreditadas, como revistas revisadas por pares e informes de organizaciones prestigiosas como la UNESCO y la OMS, que destacan el impacto de la EF en la equidad social y el bienestar de los jóvenes.
Discusión: Los resultados muestran que las actividades inclusivas de EF pueden promover el desarrollo de objetivos compartidos, la resiliencia y la inteligencia emocional. Sin embargo, las brechas de género y las limitaciones sociales en la accesibilidad impiden que las niñas asistan, y los niños de comunidades vulnerables se quedan atrás. Para revertir esta tendencia, trabajamos a nivel comunitario y utilizamos metodologías de enseñanza con perspectiva de género.
Conclusión: La metarevisión identifica la educación física como un factor importante para la transformación social y el empoderamiento juvenil en Indonesia. Afrontar los desafíos sistémicos mediante currículos inclusivos, la formación docente y la provisión y el acceso equitativos a los recursos ayudará a todos los jóvenes a aprovechar los beneficios de la actividad física, promoviendo una sociedad más equitativa.
