The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of CrossFit© practice on physical capabilities, health, and psychological variables of Secondary Education (ESO) students in the context of Physical Education (PE) classes, as well as to analyze its possible relationship with academic performance. The PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines were used for the development of the systematic review. The literature search began on January 30, 2023, and PubMed, ERIC, CRAI, and ScIELO were used as databases for the selection of articles. Initially, 6,244 works were collected through keyword searches, of which, after the screening process, a total of twenty-one studies that met the eligibility criteria were selected. The analysis of the studies shows that CrossFit© and high-intensity programs have a positive effect on various components related to physical fitness and cognitive performance in other subjects. In conclusion, CrossFit© or other high-intensity methodologies are effective strategies within the school context to improve physical fitness and academic performance.
