Previsão de lesões relacionadas ao esporte usando dispositivos vestíveis e métodos de análise de dados

Resumo

Este estudo investiga a eficácia da tecnologia wearable na previsão de taxas de lesões entre atletas, com foco tanto em lesões leves quanto em lesões graves. Durante um período de 20 semanas, 80 estudantes de cultura física foram divididos em um grupo experimental, que utilizou dispositivos vestíveis para monitoramento de dados em tempo real, e um grupo de controle que empregou métodos de treinamento tradicionais. O estudo usou uma variedade de sensores vestíveis para coletar dados fisiológicos e biomecânicos abrangentes, que foram analisados ​​usando ferramentas personalizadas baseadas em Python. Os resultados indicaram uma redução significativa de lesões leves no grupo experimental, confirmando a hipótese de que a tecnologia vestível pode diminuir a incidência de lesões por meio de ajustes de treinamento personalizados. No entanto, o impacto nas lesões graves não foi estatisticamente significativo, destacando as limitações da tecnologia na previsão e prevenção de lesões agudas. Esta investigação destaca o potencial dos wearables para melhorar a segurança dos atletas através de insights baseados em dados, mas também aponta para a necessidade de mais estudos para compreender totalmente e aproveitar a tecnologia na prevenção de lesões mais graves. As descobertas têm implicações importantes para a ciência do desporto, sugerindo uma mudança de paradigma em direção a regimes de treino mais integrados tecnologicamente para otimizar os resultados de saúde e o desempenho nas populações atléticas.
