The integration agreements of the Autonomous Federations in the Spanish Federations

Introduction The new Spanish sports law of December 30, 2022 establishes a new legal framework between the regional federations and the Spanish federations based on the need to agree, accord and sign an agreement for the integration of the regional federations into the Spanish ones. And all this, under the supervision of the National Sports Council.
Objective Offer an evolutionary vision of the rules of sport in relation to the legal relationship between the regional and Spanish federations, focuses on the main problems detected in these almost 50 years of democracy and offers a proposal with legal scope of what should be the content of the agreements that are agreed between the regional and Spanish federations in order to avoid the endless number of problems that have been created and that may be created in the immediate future.
Methodology Evolutionary regulatory analysis and systematic study of current legislation.
Results The law establishes a minimum essential content of said integration agreement, content that in response to the study of the regulatory evolution that we analyzed and the research and professional experience in the field of sports federations requires a more thoughtful and complete approach.
Conclusions The content of the integration agreements required by Sports Law 39/22 must go far beyond the minimum requirements established by law if a stable and conflict-free relationship between Spanish and regional federations will to be guaranteed.
