Exercícios unilaterais de fortalecimento dos isquiotibiais podem melhorar a assimetria dos isquiotibiais e aumentar o desempenho de salto em atletas de badminton de sub-elite

Este estudo teve como objetivo determinar o efeito de 10 semanas de treinamento unilateral na assimetria e no desempenho de salto em atletas sub-elite de badminton. Neste estudo, 23 dos 41 atletas de badminton que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão foram considerados amostras. Amostras selecionadas receberão intervenções de exercícios unilaterais na forma de flexão dos isquiotibiais com bola suíça e exercícios de ponte unipodal por dez semanas com uma frequência de exercícios de 3 vezes por semana. Os dados foram coletados duas vezes antes da realização da intervenção (pré-teste) e após a intervenção (pós-teste). A medição usa o teste de Norbord para determinar a condição de assimetria dos isquiotibiais e o teste de salto com contramovimento (CMJ) para determinar a altura do salto. Os resultados mostraram que houve uma diminuição significativa no percentual de assimetria dos isquiotibiais p ≤ 0,001 (Pré-teste: 20,26±10,25% ao Pós-teste: 9,20±3,51%) e tem tamanho de efeito grande com valor d de Cohen de 1,443, e aumento na altura do salto p ≤ 0,001 (Pré-teste: 33,06±4,93 cm ao Pós-teste: 35,17±4,54 cm) e possui tamanho de efeito médio com valor d de Cohen de 0,447. A conclusão é que 30 exercícios unilaterais durante dez semanas podem melhorar a assimetria dos isquiotibiais em mais de 10% e aumentar o desempenho de salto em atletas de badminton.
