Sistema de biofeedback num programa de exercício monitorizado à distância em mulheres embaraçadas com obesidade: uma investigação pré-experimental

Objectivos: Os programas de e-salud podem ser uma excelente estratégia para ultrapassar algumas barreiras relacionadas com a falta de prática de exercício entre as mulheres embaraçadas com obesidade. Este estúdio pretende apresentar um programa de exercício monitorizado para mulheres embaraçadas com obesidade utilizando o sistema de biofeedback Sword Phoenix®; e avaliar a perceção das mulheres embaraçadas sobre o sistema de biofeedback e o programa protocolo de exercício. Métodos: Foi realizada uma investigação pré-experimental através do projeto de estudo de caso único. Doces mulheres embarazadas com Índice de Massa Corporal ≥ 30 kg/m2, foram convidadas a realizar durante duas semanas um programa protocolo de exercício estruturado em casa com um sistema de biofeedback digital, durante o exercício as mulheres utilizam um acelerómetro para medir a intensidade das ejercicios . No final das duas semanas de exercício, os embaraçosos recordaram um questionário para avaliar a sua perceção sobre a usabilidade, satisfação, segurança e motivação do programa de exercício e do sistema de biofeedback. Resultados: Os resultados da acelerometria indicam que, durante o programa protocolo de exercício, as embarazadas dedicaram 79,3% do seu tempo a atividades moderadas. A adesão ao programa teve um rendimento médio de 40%. Os resultados do questionário demonstraram que 100% (n=12) dos participantes usufruíram do sistema e reconheceram-se como um instrumento seguro com potencial para aumentar a atividade física durante o embaraço. Discussão: O sistema de biofeedback pode ser uma ferramenta útil para a implementação de um programa de exercício para mulheres embaraçadas com obesidade. O programa de exercício propõe-se a cumprir as recomendações internacionais para o exercício físico durante o embaraço, garantindo a segurança. Além disso, reduzir a intervenção do equipamento aumenta a motivação dos participantes e tem o potencial de reduzir o comportamento sedentário em mulheres embaraçadas com obesidade.
