Resumo

Este estudo utilizou revisão sistemática da literatura para investigar o papel da tecnologia digital inteligente vestível na medição do VO2MAX para apoiar o desempenho do atleta e a saúde pública. Os dados foram obtidos de artigos pesquisados ​​através do Google Acadêmico. A busca concentrou-se naqueles publicados em periódicos indexados no Scopus publicados em 2019 - 2024. Os periódicos foram selecionados levando em consideração critérios de inclusão e exclusão. A busca foi realizada em setembro de 2024 utilizando as palavras-chave: (Smart Wearable OR Wearable Technology AND VO2MAX OR VO2 Max OR Cardiorespiratory Fitness AND Athlete Performance OR Sports Performance OR Athletic Performance AND Public Health OR General Population OR Health Monitoring). A partir da busca no recorte temporal 2019-2014 foram encontrados 1.110 artigos. Além disso, foram revisados ​​novamente em diversas etapas e foram obtidos 16 artigos que se enquadravam no tema e atendiam aos requisitos de inclusão. Durante a seleção dos artigos, este estudo seguiu as diretrizes do PRISMA. Concluiu-se que a tecnologia wearable desempenha um papel importante na otimização do desempenho dos atletas através do monitoramento em tempo real do VO2MAX, permitindo ajustes do exercício com base em métricas como frequência cardíaca e variações diurnas, o que pode melhorar a eficácia do exercício e reduzir o risco de lesões. Além disso, os wearables também contribuem significativamente para melhorar a saúde pública, promovendo estilos de vida ativos, rastreando parâmetros de saúde e apoiando a autogestão da saúde, especialmente para a população idosa e pessoas com doenças crónicas. No entanto, para que os wearables sejam utilizados de forma otimizada, é necessário resolver questões técnicas, como a precisão da medição e a sincronização de dados, bem como as necessidades de formação dos utilizadores. Com desenvolvimento adequado, a tecnologia wearable tem grande potencial para melhorar o desempenho dos atletas e a saúde pública em geral.
