Resumo

Justificativa e objetivos: A obesidade é um problema de saúde global crescente e está se tornando um grande desafio nos campos clínico e de saúde pública. Uma das principais preocupações é o impacto na qualidade de vida do indivíduo. Esta revisão tem como objetivo avaliar a eficácia de diversas intervenções, incluindo atividade física e dieta alimentar, no tratamento da obesidade. Metodologia: Os estudos selecionados envolveram uma população de adultos obesos (com 18 anos ou mais) que realizaram mudanças no estilo de vida por meio de mudanças nos padrões, na dieta, na atividade física ou em ambos. Foram examinados 324 artigos, dos quais 25 eram duplicados. Após processo de triagem de adequação, foram excluídos 261 artigos. Outros 27 artigos foram excluídos devido ao desenho inadequado do estudo ou aos dados incompletos. Um total de 11 artigos em texto completo foram revisados ​​e incluídos em nossa análise. Os resultados mostraram que os participantes que seguiram uma dieta à base de leite registaram uma diminuição significativa do peso corporal de -1,16 kg (intervalo de confiança -1,66, -0,66 kg; p < 0,001), bem como uma diminuição da massa gorda corporal de -1,49. kg. (intervalo de confiança -2,06, -0,92 kg; p < 0,001). Os participantes que adotaram um padrão alimentar de jejum em dias alternados (ADF) alcançaram uma perda média de peso de -0,9% ± 0,6% no grupo de baixa perda de peso e -9,9% ± 1,1% no grupo de baixa perda de peso. Enquanto isso, os participantes que restringiram a ingestão calórica (Restrição Calórica/CR) registraram uma perda de peso de -1,3% ± 0,7% no grupo de baixa perda de peso e -9,2% ± 1,2% no grupo de alta perda de peso corporal. Combinar aproximadamente 175 minutos de atividade física intensa por semana com uma dieta controlada resulta em perda significativa de peso de até 5%. Em conclusão, esta revisão sistemática confirma que a abordagem mais eficaz no tratamento da obesidade em adultos é uma combinação de treino de força e cardiovascular de pelo menos 175 minutos por semana e uma dieta hipocalórica adaptada às necessidades metabólicas e à condição de saúde individual.
