Influência dos movimentos ativos na aptidão cardiorrespiratória de escolares

As viagens ativas (caminhada ou ciclismo) estão associadas a benefícios para a saúde e melhorias na aptidão cardiorrespiratória (ACR). O objetivo foi analisar a influência do deslocamento ativo na CAF em escolares.
e secundariamente, caracterizar o tipo e modo de deslocamento ativo dos participantes desta pesquisa. Estudo quantitativo, descritivo-correlacional. Foram avaliados 81 adolescentes entre 11 e 14 anos de duas escolas municipais da cidade de Talca, Chile. O movimento ativo foi avaliado com o questionário PACO (Pedal y anda al Cole), enquanto o FCR foi obtido através do teste Course Navette, que permite estimar o consumo de oxigênio (VO2max) dos participantes. Foi utilizado o software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) e realizada análise de regressão linear múltipla. Escolares com deslocamento ativo apresentam VO2máx significativamente maior em comparação aos escolares com deslocamento passivo (p<0,001; β= 2,267). Dentre as variáveis de ajuste, observou-se que a idade influencia significativamente o modelo, onde os escolares mais jovens apresentaram maior VO2máx (p=0,043; β=-1,118). O sexo e o índice de massa corporal não influenciaram o resultado do VO2máx. Este estudo mostrou que as viagens ativas de ida e volta para a escola e a idade dos participantes influenciam a FCR, o que poderia contribuir para a melhoria da aptidão física.
