Explorando o potencial da bateria PREFIT como ferramenta para avaliar a condição física em crianças em idade pré-escolar chilenas: Exploratory Systematic Review

O objetivo da investigação foi examinar o potencial da bateria PREFIT como ferramenta para avaliar a condição física em crianças pré-escolares chilenas, abordando a sua relação com indicadores de saúde. Foi realizada uma revisão exploratória em conformidade com as diretrizes do PRISMA-ScR, focalizando estudos dos últimos 10 anos que empregaram a bateria PREFIT completa em crianças de três a cinco anos, explorando associações com variáveis de saúde, excluindo aspetos cognitivos. Se identificar 13 estudos pertinentes. Os principais obstáculos revelam uma ligação direta entre uma boa condição física e melhores indicadores de saúde, contrastando com níveis mais elevados de sedentarismo, obesidade e má saúde associados a uma condição física deficiente. Além disso, observou-se que fatores como o nível educativo dos pais, o estatuto socioeconómico familiar e a alimentação influenciam a adoção de hábitos de vida saludáveis. Estes resultados suportam a utilização da bateria PREFIT como potencial ferramenta para a avaliação da condição física em pré-colares chilenos, oferecendo a possibilidade de valorizar e dar seguimento a intervenções direcionadas para melhorar a saúde e bem-estar no seu grupo etário.
