O Impacto de um Programa de Atividade Física Organizada nos Indicadores de Saúde dos Alunos de Diferentes Grupos Culturais no Ambiente Escolar Segunda Oportunidade

O principal objetivo desta investigação foi avaliar o impacto de um programa estruturado de atividade física nos indicadores de saúde dos alunos adultos que frequentam uma Escola Multicultural Second Chance. O estudo incluiu um total de 62 alunos da Escola Segunda Oportunidade, com idades compreendidas entre os 19 e os 57 anos, que foram divididos em dois grupos: experimental e de controlo. O programa de intervenção consistiu em duas sessões semanais durante 20 semanas, com a duração de 60 minutos cada. A intensidade do exercício variou entre os 65% e os 85% da FCmáx e incluiu diversas atividades como aeróbica, exercícios com levantamento de pesos, rotinas com halteres e caminhadas. As medições foram realizadas no início e no final do programa de atividade física organizada. Para a recolha de dados foram utilizados equipamentos especializados, como um estadiómetro de parede, uma balança de precisão, uma fita métrica única, um esfigmomanómetro automático e um aparelho DXA. Os dados foram analisados através de análise de variância ANOVA, estatística descritiva e testes T através do software SPSS. Os resultados revelaram uma influência primária estatisticamente significativa atribuída ao fator “medição” (p<0,001) em todos os indicadores de saúde, exceto DMO total e CMO total, quando comparados os grupos experimental e controlo. Em relação às disparidades de género, os homens apresentaram maiores medidas de massa corporal, massa livre de gordura, tamanho da barriga e pressão arterial, enquanto as mulheres apresentaram maior massa gorda e gordura corporal total. Concluindo, o programa de intervenção teve um impacto positivo na melhoria dos indicadores de saúde dos alunos adultos da Escola Segunda Oportunidade. Os futuros esforços de investigação deverão explorar a implementação de programas de actividade física noutras escolas de segunda oportunidade em toda a Grécia.
