O impacto da deteção de talentos no aumento do número de crianças que participam em desportos

A detecção de talentos desportivos é uma intenção de encontrar crianças que tenham potencial de conversão em competições, mas que actualmente não estão envolvidas no desporto através de uma série de testes. O objetivo desta investigação é determinar as características da distribuição dos talentos desportivos das crianças da cidade de Payakumbuh, província de Sumatra Ocidental. Desta investigação, obtém-se informação sobre o perfil antropométrico, as capacidades físicas e a coordenação do movimento de cada criança. Além disso, verificou-se que existiam diferenças nas capacidades de coordenação de movimentos das crianças que não tinham participado em desportos e daqueles que tinham participado neles (treino em clubes) depois de terem levado a cabo a detecção de talentos desportivos. Esta investigação envolveu 750 crianças (486 crianças, 264 crianças) dos 7 aos 12 anos na cidade de Payakumbuh, Sumatra Ocidental, Indonésia. O instrumento de deteção de talentos utilizado nesta investigação é o Sekora TID que foi adotado pela bateria de testes SportKompas. Para verificar o impacto da implementação da deteção de talentos, o investigador realizou uma consulta utilizando um formulário do Google que foi distribuído a todos os participantes do teste. Foram realizadas pesquisas para monitorizar as crianças que tinham participado em desportos depois de confirmados por maestros e padres. Os resultados do estúdio Brindan informam que não existe diferença significativa na antropometria de homens e mulheres (p>0,05), mas observa-se uma diferença significativa na idade (p<0,05). Foram também encontradas diferenças significativas nos elementos de coordenação motora em função da idade e do género (p<0,05). Os elementos de desempenho físico também apresentam diferenças significativas em função da idade e do género (p<0,05). Os resultados desta investigação serão utilizados como uma primeira etapa para implementar um sistema de identificação de talentos desportivos como parte do LTDA.
