Dinâmica dos golos nas cinco principais ligas europeias de futebol: efeitos situacionais e de género no resultado do jogo

Introdução: Apesar dos avanços recentes na compreensão dos determinantes da pontuação de golos no futebol, ainda existe um fosso de investigação considerável entre os jogos femininos e masculinos, o que justifica estudos mais abrangentes.
Objectivo: Este estudo observacional retrospectivo abordou esta lacuna examinando como as variáveis situacionais (país, local do jogo, período do jogo, relação numérica, qualidade da equipa e criticidade do golo) e o sexo influenciam o resultado do jogo nas ligas europeias Big-5 em duas temporadas (2020/21–2021/22).
Métodos: Todos os golos marcados por equipas masculinas e femininas nas principais divisões do futebol inglês, espanhol, italiano, alemão e francês (n = 15.366) foram analisados através de testes de qui-quadrado e regressão logística multinomial.
Resultados: As análises bivariadas revelaram associações significativas de todas as variáveis situacionais com o resultado do jogo, exceto o período do jogo. Resultados detalhados de modelos de regressão aplicados aos objetivos de mulheres e homens demonstraram influências variadas de variáveis situacionais entre eles. As diferenças entre países moldaram os resultados das partidas nas ligas femininas. Além disso, as mulheres eram mais propensas a serem influenciadas pela complexa interação de fatores contextuais durante as partidas, provavelmente devido ao menor profissionalismo, nível de habilidade e equilíbrio competitivo. Os golos críticos, que são marcados predominantemente na primeira parte, foram considerados essenciais para resultados favoráveis nas partidas. No entanto, marcar golos em circunstâncias críticas (i.e., que alteram o estatuto competitivo entre as equipas adversárias) adquire maior importância à medida que a partida se desenrola, especialmente no futebol masculino.
Conclusão: À medida que o jogo evolui, acomodar estes insights elevará o desempenho e informará as decisões estratégicas para treinadores, jogadores e partes interessadas. A procura da excelência no futebol exige uma adoção contínua da consciência situacional.
