O modelo de desenvolvimento das necessidades psicológicas influencia as intenções dos alunos em relação à atividade física.

Resumo

Mirar. Este estudo tem como objetivo construir um modelo abrangente que possa explicar e prever as intenções de estudantes universitários chineses de participar de atividades físicas, com base na Teoria da Autodeterminação (SDT) e na Teoria do Comportamento Planejado (TPB).
Métodos. Este estudo selecionou quatro universidades em Chengdu, China, para amostragem aleatória, com um total de 512 estudantes universitários respondendo ao questionário. A modelagem de equações estruturais (MEE) foi usada para examinar as hipóteses de pesquisa.
Resultados. A necessidade psicológica, que inclui autonomia, relacionamento e competência, facilita a motivação intrínseca para o exercício entre os alunos. Além disso, a necessidade psicológica e a motivação intrínseca também desempenham um papel importante na influência da atitude e do comportamento dos alunos em relação às atividades físicas.
Conclusões. Alunos que vivenciam maior autonomia na escolha de seus treinos, competência em suas habilidades e conexão por meio do apoio dos colegas têm mais probabilidade de desenvolver hábitos de exercícios de longo prazo. Este estudo contribui teoricamente ao estender o TPB com componentes do SDT, proporcionando uma compreensão mais abrangente da motivação para o exercício. Ela oferece perspectivas para universidades, profissionais de fitness e organizações de saúde para projetar intervenções que promovam motivação, engajamento social e acessibilidade em programas de exercícios.
