O papel mediador do vício do jogo online no efeito da ansiedade futura no baixo desempenho académico entre estudantes universitários

Resumo

Introdução: Os estudantes que enfrentam diversos exames e preocupações académicas para aceder ao ensino superior podem encontrar inúmeros problemas, incluindo ansiedade académica, económica, social, de desenvolvimento, psicológica, familiar e ansiedade futura ao longo das suas carreiras no ensino superior.
Objectivo: Este estudo examinou o efeito mediador da dependência de jogos online no efeito da ansiedade futura no baixo desempenho académico, com base em quatro hipóteses.
Metodologia: Este estudo empregou um modelo de rastreio relacional, e a amostra para este estudo incluiu 1414 estudantes universitários. A Escala de Ansiedade Futura dos Estudantes Universitários, a Escala de Vício em Jogos Online e a Escala de Mau Desempenho Académico Percebido foram utilizadas como ferramentas de recolha de dados. Resultados: Os resultados das análises conduzidas para determinar a relação entre as variáveis ​​​​revelaram uma diferença moderada, positiva e significativa entre a ansiedade futura e a perceção de baixo desempenho académico, e uma diferença fraca, positiva e significativa entre o vício do jogo online. Enquanto que se verificou uma relação fraca, positiva e significativa entre a perceção de baixo desempenho académico e o vício em jogos online.
Discussões: O estudo concluiu também que o vício em jogos online tem um efeito positivo e significativo no baixo desempenho académico. Concluiu-se que o vício em jogos online desempenha um papel mediador parcial no efeito da ansiedade futura no baixo desempenho académico.
Conclusão: Todas as quatro hipóteses (H1, H2, H3 e H4) foram confirmadas. Com base nos resultados deste estudo, foram oferecidas recomendações.
