Influência do programa 'Desporto Inclusivo 2023' na qualidade de vida dos jovens com deficiência no Peru

Resumo

Introdução: Este estudo abordou o impacto do programa "Desporto Inclusivo 2023" do Instituto Peruano de Desporto na qualidade de vida dos jovens com deficiência no Peru. Considerou-se relevante analisar de que forma estes tipos de intervenções contribuem para o bem-estar geral desta população.
Objectivo: Analisar a influência do programa na qualidade de vida dos jovens com deficiência, considerando as dimensões física, emocional, social e de inclusão, numa perspectiva quantitativa e qualitativa.
Metodologia: Foi aplicada uma abordagem mista com um desenho explicativo sequencial. A fase quantitativa foi não experimental e transversal, com uma amostra aleatória de 256 participantes que responderam aos questionários APRADDIS e GENCAT adaptados. Na fase qualitativa, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas a 10 especialistas em desporto inclusivo, cujos depoimentos foram analisados ​​através do atlas.ti.
Resultados: Os achados quantitativos revelaram melhorias significativas (p < 0,05) no bem-estar físico e emocional, nas relações interpessoais e na inclusão social. Os dados qualitativos corroboraram estes resultados, destacando os avanços na autodeterminação, resiliência, sentido de pertença e perceção corporal positiva.
Discussão: Os resultados obtidos são consistentes com estudos anteriores sobre desporto adaptado, reafirmando o seu efeito positivo no desenvolvimento pessoal e social das pessoas com deficiência. As evidências recolhidas corroboram a necessidade de reforçar as políticas inclusivas na área do desporto.
Conclusões: Conclui-se que o programa "Desporto Inclusivo 2023" influenciou favoravelmente a qualidade de vida dos participantes, demonstrando o seu valor como estratégia de inclusão e desenvolvimento humano integral.
