Boxe moderno masculino profissional: uma análise do perfil de atividade por categoria

O objetivo deste estudo é examinar o boxe profissional masculino moderno, analisando as diferenças entre campeões mundiais entre vencedores e perdedores por categoria. Nesta análise observacional descritiva, foram incluídos 322 boxeadores profissionais do sexo masculino (idade 28,95 ± 4,10, altura 175,26 ± 9,44 cm e peso 147,82 ± 31,31 lb), em 320 lutas separadas, por divisões de peso [Pesado (H) (n = 24) , Cruiser (C) (n = 48), Peso Meio Pesado (LH) (n = 62), Peso Super Médio (SMW) (n = 17), Peso Médio (MW) (n = 68), Peso Médio Leve (LMW) (n = 42), Meio Médio (WW) (n = 49), Peso Meio Médio Leve (LWW) (n = 28), Peso Meio Médio Leve (LW) (n = 33), Peso Super Pena (SFW) (n = 63), Peso Pena (FW ) (n = 66), Peso Super Galo (SBW) (n = 42), Peso Galo (BW) (n = 30), Peso Super Mosca (SFLW) (n = 39), Peso Mosca (F) (n = 29)]. Foram encontradas diferenças entre vencedores e perdedores (U = 57.804 - 90.908,5; p < 0,001; d = 0,129 - 0,776) para todas as variáveis analisadas. Destacaram-se quatro correlações significativas: %PL (Porcentagem de acertos dados) (rho = 0,630); AVG PLxR (acertos dados por rodada) (rho = 0,594); AVG PPLxR (socos poderosos desferidos por rodada) (rho = 0,517); %PPL (Porcentagem de golpes poderosos bem-sucedidos) (rho = 0,672) e diferenças também foram observadas entre categorias de peso (H = 32,29 - 93,11; p < 0,001 - 0,004), exceto %PL, AVG JLxR, % JL (porcentagem de Jabs Land-ed) e% PPL. Esses dados sugerem que para vencer essas provas os lutadores devem desferir socos precisos, principalmente golpes poderosos, e que existem diferenças entre as categorias com esse tipo de soco (AVG PPLxR).
