Índice de rendimiento posicional en fútbol juvenil mediante análisis de componentes principales

Introducción: el fútbol juvenil presenta grandes desafíos, a partir de la identificación de las capacidades preponderantes que debe de tener cada jugador según la posición de juego en la que estos se desempeñen.
Objetivo: el objetivo de esta investigación fue diseñar un Índice de Rendimiento Integrado por medio de análisis de componentes principales para diferenciar la posición en jugadores de fútbol.
Metodología: el estudio se desarrolló bajo un diseño transversal, analítico-comparativo y multivariante. La muestra estuvo conformada por 160 futbolistas masculinos categoría sub-20 pertenecientes a clubes formativos de la ciudad de Santiago de Cali. La muestra estuvo conformada por 160 futbolistas masculinos categoría U-20 pertenecientes a clubes formativos de la ciudad de Santiago de Cali. Se evaluaron los saltos Cmj y SJ utilizando el dispositivo de ADR Jumping, por otra parte, a partir del uso de fotoceldas se realizaron los test de sprint de 10,20,30 m., la prueba de cambios de dirección y el Illinois test. Finalmente, se aplicaron el salto horizontal, la prueba RSA 6×20 m y el Yo-Yo test, a partir del cual se estimó indirectamente el VO₂máx.
Resultados y Discusión: El análisis de componentes principales identifico tres componentes que explican el 51,5% de la varianza del rendimiento físico, destacando un eje principal velocidad-agilidad frente a resistencia aeróbica/potencia. Los índices derivados del PCA, especialmente el índice ponderado y el IIR, mostraron una alta capacidad discriminativa entre posiciones de juego, con tamaños del efecto muy grandes.
Conclusiones: El PCA permitió identificar ejes funcionales del rendimiento físico y construir un índice sensible a las demandas posicionales del fútbol juvenil.
