Modelo de educación deportiva frente a la enseñanza tradicional en Educación Física de secundaria: una revisión sistemática y metaanálisis

Introducción: La Educación Física de secundaria necesita modelos que apoyen la motivación, la satisfacción de las necesidades psicológicas básicas y la implicación.
Objetivo: Esta revisión examinó si el Modelo de Educación Deportiva produjo resultados más favorables que la enseñanza tradicional en secundaria.
Metodología: Se buscaron estudios revisados por pares publicados entre 2016 y 2026 en Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar y SPORTDiscus. Los estudios elegibles compararon el Modelo de Educación Deportiva con la enseñanza tradicional, la instrucción directa u otros enfoques centrados en el profesorado. El riesgo de sesgo se evaluó con herramientas específicas. Se realizaron metaanálisis de efectos aleatorios con la g de Hedges.
Resultados: Once estudios cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Seis se incluyeron en el metaanálisis de motivación. El efecto combinado favoreció al Modelo de Educación Deportiva tras la intervención (g = 0,95; IC 95%: 0,59 a 1,31), aunque la heterogeneidad fue alta. Tras excluir a Baş y Cuevas et al., el efecto siguió siendo significativo y la heterogeneidad disminuyó. El análisis principal de la satisfacción de las necesidades psicológicas básicas incluyó dos estudios. Favoreció al Modelo de Educación Deportiva con DerSimonian–Laird, pero no fue significativo con Paule–Mandel y Hartung–Knapp.
Discusión: La evidencia sobre la implicación fue limitada. Dos estudios informaron cambios positivos dentro del grupo, pero no una ventaja clara frente a la enseñanza tradicional.
Conclusiones: El Modelo de Educación Deportiva parece prometedor para los resultados de motivación, mientras que la evidencia sobre la satisfacción de las necesidades psicológicas básicas y la implicación sigue siendo preliminar.
