Introducción: La actividad física y los estilos de vida activos de los niños están fuertemente influenciados por las rutinas familiares, el modelado parental y el apoyo educativo; sin embargo, los recursos de aprendizaje que integran el entorno familiar, la educación infantil y la actividad física infantil siguen siendo limitados en la formación en orientación y asesoramiento.
Objetivo: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo diseñar y validar un libro de texto sobre Entorno Familiar y Educación Infantil para apoyar la comprensión de los estudiantes universitarios sobre la actividad física y los estilos de vida activos de los niños.
Metodología: Se utilizó un diseño de investigación y desarrollo basado en el modelo instruccional de Lee y Owens, que incluye análisis, diseño, desarrollo, implementación y evaluación. El libro fue validado por expertos en contenido y diseño, y probado mediante ensayos individuales, en grupos pequeños y en grupos grandes con estudiantes universitarios.
Resultados: El libro alcanzó niveles muy adecuados en la validación de contenido (84,0%) y diseño (88,5%). Las respuestas estudiantiles fueron muy positivas en el ensayo individual (M = 91,00), en grupo pequeño (M = 91,20) y en la evaluación de grupo grande (M = 94,45). El rendimiento aumentó de 29 a 86, con una ganancia normalizada de 0,80.
Discusión: Estos hallazgos indican que el libro ayuda a conectar el entorno familiar, la educación infantil y la actividad física infantil.
Conclusión: El libro es factible y útil como recurso pedagógico.
