Resumo

Introdução: A actividade física e os estilos de vida activos das crianças são fortemente influenciados pelas rotinas familiares, pelo exemplo dos pais e pelo apoio educativo; no entanto, os recursos de aprendizagem que integram o ambiente familiar, a educação pré-escolar e a atividade física infantil são ainda limitados na formação de orientadores e conselheiros.

Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo desenvolver e validar um manual sobre o Ambiente Familiar e a Educação Pré-escolar para apoiar a compreensão dos estudantes universitários sobre a actividade física e os estilos de vida activos das crianças.

Metodologia: Foi utilizado um projeto de investigação e desenvolvimento baseado no modelo instrucional de Lee e Owens, que inclui análise, conceção, desenvolvimento, implementação e avaliação. O livro foi validado por especialistas em conteúdo e design e testado através de avaliações individuais, em pequenos grupos e em grandes grupos com estudantes universitários.

Resultados: O livro alcançou níveis muito elevados de validação de conteúdos (84,0%) e de design (88,5%). As respostas dos alunos foram muito positivas na escrita individual (M = 91,00), na avaliação em pequenos grupos (M = 91,20) e na avaliação em grandes grupos (M = 94,45). O desempenho aumentou de 29 para 86, com um ganho normalizado de 0,80.

Discussão: Estes resultados indicam que o livro ajuda a ligar o ambiente familiar, a educação de infância e a atividade física das crianças.

Conclusão: O livro é exequível e útil como recurso pedagógico.
