Correlação entre o estado de hidratação e o VO2máx em atletas Pencak Silat

Manter condições de hidratação adequadas é importante para apoiar o desempenho do atleta. O estudo teve como objetivo determinar a relação entre o estado de hidratação e a capacidade de VO2máx de atletas de artes marciais. A pesquisa foi realizada através de um método correlacional. Os sujeitos do estudo foram 14 atletas Pencak Silat da turma especial de desporto da Escola Secundária Estadual (JHS) 1 Surakarta. Recolha de dados do teste Self-Urine Check (SUC) para avaliar o estado de hidratação e Bleep Test para medir a capacidade de VO2máx dos atletas. Técnicas de análise de dados com testes de correlação produto-momento. Como resultado obteve-se que o coeficiente de relação entre o estado de hidratação e a capacidade de VO2máx foi r = -0,844; p = 0,001. Portanto, verificou-se uma relação negativa significativa entre estas duas variáveis. Este estudo conclui que houve uma correlação negativa entre o estado de hidratação e a capacidade de VO2máx nos atletas da Classe Desportiva Especial JHS. A novidade deste estudo reside na observação de níveis estáveis de hidratação entre atletas Pencak Silat da Classe Desportiva Especial do SMPN 1 Surakarta. Os resultados deste estudo podem ser utilizados como referência para os atletas manterem uma hidratação adequada durante as atividades e para os treinadores garantirem que todos os atletas estão bem hidratados para evitar a desidratação.
