Habilidade mental Otava para desporto 3 - validação e invariância de género para a versão portuguesa

O objetivo do estudo foi validar a versão portuguesa do Ottawa Mental Skills Assessment Tool (OMSAT 3p) através de análise fatorial confirmatória do modelo de medida e da invariância de género. Participaram neste estudo 524 atletas portugueses (masculinos e femininos) com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 42 anos (M = 19,21; DP = 5,46). Os principais resultados mostram que as qualidades psicométricas do OMSAT 3 de 48 itens são adequadas e que tem uma validade aceitável, permitindo-lhe avaliar as competências básicas (SRMR = 0,042, CFI = 0,999, TLI = 0,998, RMSEA = 0,008 e χ2 /df = 1,46), Competências Psicossomáticas (SRMR = 0,056, CFI = 0,979, TLI = 0,975, RMSEA = 0,042 e χ2 /df = 1,93) e Competências Cognitivas (SRMR = 0,058, CFI = 0,973, TLI = 0,968, RMSEA = 0,044 e χ2 /df = 1,99). Esta versão apresentou também valores adequados de invariância configural, métrica e escalar por género (ΔCFI < 0,01) (ΔRMSEA < 0,01). A versão portuguesa do OMSAT 3 pode ser utilizada com razoável confiança para avaliar as capacidades psicológicas em contexto desportivo.
