Escape Room como estrategia innovadora para la valoración de la condición física en estudiantes de Educación Secundaria

Introducción: los test de condición física constituyen un recurso habitual en Educación Física, pero a menudo son percibidos de forma negativa por el alumnado debido a su carácter evaluativo y competitivo. La gamificación, y en particular los escape rooms, se han consolidado como metodologías innovadoras capaces de generar experiencias más motivadoras y significativas.
Objetivo: analizar el impacto sobre la satisfacción y la percepción de la realización de una sesión de test de condición física basada mediante un escape room.
Metodología: se aplicó un diseño cuasi-experimental, descriptivo y transversal en 89 estudiantes de 4.º de ESO de un centro educativo público. La intervención consistió en una sesión de escape room que incluía la realización de test de condición física integrados en la dinámica de juego. La motivación se evaluó mediante la versión española de la escala BPNES y un cuestionario ad hoc con preguntas cerradas y abiertas.
Resultados: se observaron puntuaciones medias elevadas en autonomía y relación, y moderadas en competencia. La puntuación global de la BPNES fue superior a 4 (escala 1–5). La mayoría del alumnado expresó altos niveles de satisfacción y utilidad, y manifestó disposición a repetir la experiencia. El análisis de las respuestas abiertas mostró categorías recurrentes vinculadas al aprendizaje, la autocomprensión y la motivación.
Discusión: los resultados se alinean con estudios previos que evidencian el efecto positivo de las metodologías gamificadas en la motivación del alumnado y en la percepción de los test físicos. La narrativa y el trabajo en equipo fueron factores clave para transformar la evaluación en una experiencia formativa.
Conclusiones: la aplicación de un escape room constituye una alternativa eficaz para mejorar la percepción y el sentido educativo de los test de condición física en Educación Secundaria, favoreciendo la motivación y el desarrollo de competencias curriculares.
