Crecimiento infantil, juego escolar e iniciación deportiva: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

Introducción: El juego escolar constituye la principal herramienta de aprendizaje en la infancia. A través de él, los niños exploran el mundo, construyen su identidad y desarrollan habilidades vitales de forma natural, integrando de manera simultánea las dimensiones física, cognitiva, emocional y social.

Objetivo: evaluar cómo el desarrollo de las habilidades motrices fundamentales (HMF) en edades tempranas actúa como cimiento para la iniciación deportiva.

Metodología: se adoptó un diseño de revisión sistemática con directrices PRISMA 2020, mediante una búsqueda en cinco bases de datos (Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, ERIC y SciELO) complementada con una búsqueda de actualización, tras la cual se incluyeron once estudios en la síntesis cualitativa.

Resultados: los estudios revisados muestran asociaciones positivas entre las experiencias de juego y el desarrollo de la coordinación, el equilibrio, la competencia motriz y la interacción social. La estimulación adecuada a través del juego mejora significativamente cuatro áreas fundamentales del crecimiento: coordinación, equilibrio, competencia motriz e interacción social.

Discusión: los hallazgos son coherentes con la literatura sobre desarrollo motor a lo largo de la vida, subrayando el papel de las HMF como variable mediadora central entre el juego escolar y la participación deportiva.

Conclusiones: la educación física escolarizada constituye un contexto relevante para favorecer el desarrollo motor y crear oportunidades de continuidad hacia experiencias de iniciación deportiva, aunque la heterogeneidad de los estudios limita el establecimiento de relaciones causales definitivas.
