Blockchain e a indústria esportiva: uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre Fan Tokens e suas implicações

Contexto: Os fan tokens surgem como uma inovação significativa que permite uma nova forma de interação entre os clubes e os seus adeptos e introduz um modelo económico alternativo para as entidades desportivas. Objetivo: A revisão discute as características técnicas dos fan tokens e seu papel na melhoria da participação dos torcedores nas decisões dos clubes menores, reforçando o sentimento de pertencimento e comunidade. Métodos: A pesquisa abrangeu uma revisão sistemática da literatura, seguindo as diretrizes Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), e apresentou uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa das aplicações de fan tokens na indústria esportiva. Resultados: Os resultados destacam que existem desafios significativos, como a volatilidade dos preços e a necessidade de regulamentação adequada para garantir a adoção segura e eficaz, apesar das oportunidades de participação e monetização. A discussão também inclui as implicações éticas e sociais do uso de fan tokens, enfatizando a necessidade de estratégias que priorizem a inclusão e a equidade no envolvimento dos fãs. Conclusão: Por fim, o estudo propõe direções futuras de pesquisas que considerem o desenvolvimento tecnológico contínuo e as mudanças nas expectativas dos torcedores, com o objetivo de otimizar o uso de fan tokens para beneficiar os stakeholders envolvidos.
