A puxada isométrica do meio da coxa está associada ao desempenho competitivo em atletas de trocação de alto desempenho?

Resumo

Fundamento: O teste isométrico de tração do meio da coxa (IMTP) é comumente utilizado na avaliação de desempenho esportivo, mas permanece subutilizado entre atletas de esportes de combate. Objetivos: avaliar se os medalhistas pan-americanos (PM) apresentaram diferenças em relação aos demais atletas (NM) ao realizarem o teste isométrico de tração média da coxa (IMTP). Métodos: foram medidos 72 atletas de Karatê [n=35 (♀12)] e Taekwondo [n=37 (♀15)] (22,4±3,7 anos; 67,4±11,5 Kg; 1,7±0,1m; 22,1±2,8kg /m2). Do total, 32 atletas eram PMs de seu esporte de combate específico (♀11). Todos os participantes completaram o IMTP entre 60 e 90 dias antes da competição. Foram mensuradas as seguintes variáveis: a) Impulso a 50; 100; 150 e 200 ms (N*s); b) pico de força (PF) absoluto (N) e relativo (PF; N/Kg) e; c) taxa de desenvolvimento de força (RFD) em 50; 100; 150 e 200ms (N/s). Resultados: PM apresentou melhor desempenho em PF absoluto (2.398,5±623,1 vs. 2.096,2±559,3 N; p=0,034) e PF relativo (34,6±5,0 vs. 31,2±5,1 N/Kg; p=0,006); RFD em 150 (5.273,4±2.670,8 vs. 3.963,4±1.904,2 N/s; p=0,0018) e 200 ms (4.870,3±2.184,6 vs. 4.022,1±1.574,8 N/s; p=0,05); O PF relativo (Τ=0,249; p=0,011) e o RDF em 150 ms (Τ=0,208; p=0,033) apresentaram correlação positiva e significativa com o resultado da competição. Conclusão: os medalhistas apresentaram PF e RFD elevados em 150 e 200 ms. Além disso, o resultado da competição foi correlacionado com o PF e o RDF relativos a 150 ms. Com base em nossas descobertas, recomendamos que os treinadores incorporem o IMTP em sua rotina de avaliação para atletas de rebatidas.
