Resumo

Introdução: Este estudo avalia a eficácia de um sistema de treino imersivo com recurso à realidade virtual (RV) em métricas de desempenho no basquetebol entre estudantes de cultura física. O uso da RV no treino desportivo tem ganho atenção pelo seu potencial para melhorar tanto as capacidades físicas como as funções cognitivas.
Objectivo: O objectivo foi comparar os efeitos do treino imersivo em RV versus os métodos de treino tradicionais na precisão do tiro, tempos de reacção e carga cognitiva. Sessenta estudantes universitários foram divididos em grupos de controlo e experimental, participando nos respetivos regimes de treino.
Metodologia: O estudo utilizou uma configuração de RV para conduzir as sessões de treino, e os dados quantitativos foram analisados ​​utilizando ANOVA unidirecional. Esta análise revelou melhorias significativas na precisão do disparo e nos tempos de reação no grupo treinado em RV, com valores de p inferiores a 0,05.
Resultados: Os resultados, no entanto, indicaram que não existem diferenças significativas na carga cognitiva entre os grupos. Estes resultados sugerem que, embora a RV possa melhorar certas capacidades físicas, o seu impacto nos aspetos cognitivos do desempenho não está claramente estabelecido.
Discussão: A discussão destaca que, em comparação com estudos anteriores, esta investigação confirma os benefícios da RV no treino físico, mas levanta questões sobre os seus efeitos cognitivos, que têm sido inconsistentes em diferentes estudos.
Conclusões: O estudo apoia o papel da RV na melhoria de capacidades atléticas específicas e sugere a necessidade de mais investigação para explorar plenamente os seus potenciais benefícios cognitivos. Estas descobertas apoiam a integração de tecnologias de RV em programas de treino desportivo e enfatizam a necessidade de inovação e avaliação contínuas destes sistemas em contextos de treino mais amplos.
