Exercício e suplementação com extrato fitoterápico antiobesidade nos genes IL-6 e FNCD5 no músculo sóleo de ratas obesas

Introdução e objetivo: O exercício e as hierbas anti-obesidade podem ser intervenções eficazes para reduzir a obesidade induzida por uma dieta rica em gorduras (HFD). O nosso estúdio examinou os efeitos do exercício aeróbico (AE) e do exercício de força (RE) na expressão de FNDC5 e IL-6 em ratas hembra alimentadas com um HFD juntamente com um extrato de ervas anti-obesidade (AOHME).
Metodologia: Cuarenta y das ratas Wistar hembras jóvenes (12 semanas de idade) são distribuídas aleatoriamente em sete grupos: (1) controlo alimentar com dieta padrão (Con-ND), (2) controlo alimentar com HFD (Con-HFD), (3) AE-HFD, (4) RE-HFD, (5) AOHME-HFD, (6) AE-AOHME-HFD e (7) OHME-HFD. Após quatro semanas com HFD para induzir obesidade (exceto Con-ND), as ratazanas foram alimentadas com HFD (grupos 2-7) durante 4 semanas adicionais. O AE consistia em correr em cinta e o RE em subir escadas. Os exercícios são realizados 5 vezes por semana. A suplementação (100 mg/kg, 1 hora após o exercício) foi administrada por sonda nasogástrica em AOHME e água destilada como placebo em HFD. As ratas foram eutanasiadas (48h após a última intervenção) e o músculo sóleo extraído.
Resultados: O HFD induziu um aumento significativo do peso corporal em comparação com o Con-ND, AE-HFD, RE-HFD, AOHME-HFD, AE-AOHME-HFD e RE-AOHME-HFD. Os genes FNDC5 e IL-6 apresentaram uma expressão significativamente maior no Con-ND e no resto dos grupos HFD do que no grupo Con-HFD.
Conclusões: A expressão de FNDC5 e IL-6, reprimida com a dieta rica em gorduras, foi recuperada apenas com AE e RE ou em combinação com AOHME.
