Resumo

Introdução: A gestão de clubes de futebol é uma experiência desafiante e gratificante, exigindo uma combinação de liderança e competências estratégicas de tomada de decisão.
Objectivo: Este estudo investigou os determinantes do desempenho dos clubes de futebol profissional da Premier League etíope.
Metodologia: Este estudo investigou os determinantes do desempenho dos clubes de futebol profissional da Premier League etíope. Foi realizada uma análise correlacional para examinar a relação entre as variáveis ​​e o desempenho dos clubes de futebol. Trinta e nove questionários em escala Likert de sete pontos, considerados fiáveis ​​(α = 0,91), foram utilizados para recolher dados de uma amostra de 214 participantes selecionados através de um método de amostragem aleatória simples. As frequências, percentagens, médias, desvios padrão, correlações e análises de regressão linear múltipla (com um nível de significância P < 0,05) foram realizadas no software SPSS versão 26.
Resultados: Verificou-se uma correlação negativa entre o desempenho dos clubes de futebol e a influência dos adeptos (r = (214) -0,170, p < 0,05); financiamento (r = (214) -0,394, p < 0,01); histórico do clube (r = (214) -0,106, p > 0,05); situações de jogo (r = (214) -0,480, p < 0,01); capital humano (r = (214) -0,024, p > 0,05); media (r = (214) -0,365, p < 0,01); questões jurídicas (r = (214) -0,406, p < 0,01); e liderança e governação (r = (214) -0,139, p < 0,05), respetivamente. Além disso, oito preditores explicaram coletivamente 44,7% da variância (F (8, 214) = 22,537, p < 0,001).
Discussão: O estudo revela que factores como o financiamento, as situações de jogo, os meios de comunicação social e as questões jurídicas influenciam significativamente o desempenho dos clubes de futebol, explicando quase metade da sua variabilidade.
Conclusões: O estudo constatou que a situação de jogo, a capacidade financeira e as questões legais afetam significativamente o desempenho dos clubes de futebol, enquanto o capital humano, a influência dos adeptos e a história do clube apresentam maior variabilidade.
