Testes de força muscular e desempenho funcional como indicadores de retorno seguro à atividade desportiva após reconstrução do ligamento cruzado anterior em atletas de atletismo

Resumo

Introdução: Apesar das modernas técnicas cirúrgicas que permitem o retorno do joelho à posição normal antes da lesão, o regresso às atividades desportivas a um nível semelhante ao que o jogador apresentava continua a ser um grande desafio.
Objectivo: O objectivo deste trabalho é estabelecer limites numéricos baseados em testes padronizados para que os atletas regressem ao desporto em segurança após a cirurgia.
Metodologia: A amostra do estudo foi constituída por (20) atletas lesionados submetidos a cirurgia do ligamento cruzado anterior e submetidos a reabilitação no centro especializado de fisioterapia e reabilitação física durante um ano inteiro de forma regular e ininterrupta.
Resultados: O presente estudo mostrou através dos resultados obtidos que a diferença das médias entre as duas pernas (a perna lesionada e a perna saudável) é muito pequena, para além do facto do coeficiente de torque estar limitado entre (±1) e o coeficiente de Levene ser superior ao nível de significância (0,05), o que significa que não existem diferenças significativas entre as duas pernas (lesadas e não lesionadas).
Discussão: Os resultados da investigação devem ser contrastados com os de outras pesquisas encontradas na literatura.
Conclusões: Os investigadores concluíram que existe uma elevada fiabilidade nos testes utilizados na avaliação dos lesionados após reconstrução do ligamento cruzado, uma vez que os resultados obtidos indicaram que os membros lesionados eram semelhantes aos membros saudáveis, permitindo confiança aos treinadores e especialistas em reabilitação desportiva.
