A experiência do atleta pode influenciar as capacidades de educação física?

Introdução: A literacia física é uma necessidade para a compreensão real das necessidades relacionadas com a atividade física e a saúde. Por isso, esta literacia é frequentemente associada à experiência de uma pessoa em praticar atividades físicas. Com uma boa literacia física, os indivíduos podem reconhecer mais facilmente os benefícios e os riscos associados às atividades físicas em que participam.
Objectivo: O propósito deste estudo foi examinar a ligação entre a experiência de um indivíduo como atleta e as suas capacidades de literacia física, com foco na forma como a experiência atlética influencia o desenvolvimento das competências de literacia física.
Metodologia: Este estudo utilizou um método de inquérito quantitativo com 214 inquiridos (158 homens e 56 mulheres). O instrumento utilizado neste estudo foi o Instrumento de Literacia Física Percecionada para Professores de Educação Física com EFA: 0,69 a 0,87 e CFA: 0,73 a 0,76. Além disso, os dados obtidos foram analisados utilizando o teste U de Mann-Whitney.
Resultados: Os resultados do estudo conduzido obtiveram um nível de significância entre a experiência de ser atleta e o género na literacia física de <0,001, o que significa que não há diferença significativa entre aqueles que já foram atletas e aqueles que nunca foram atletas nas competências de literacia. Da mesma forma, não existe influência entre o género (masculino e feminino) nas competências de literacia.
Conclusão: Esta pesquisa limita-se à realização de um questionário com recurso a instrumentos distribuídos aos inquiridos, criando, assim, muitos fatores que não podem ser controlados pelo investigador, o que se torna uma limitação desta pesquisa.
