Relação entre qualidade do sono, hábitos alimentares e perfil antropométrico em adolescentes: um estudo transversal

A obesidade representa um importante fator de risco para várias doenças não transmissíveis (DCNT) em adolescentes e na população em geral. O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a relação entre qualidade do sono, hábitos alimentares e perfil antropométrico em adolescentes peruanos. Foi realizado um estudo transversal. Um total de 240 adolescentes com idades entre 12 e 17 anos participaram do estudo. Foram utilizados o Questionário de Qualidade do Sono de Pittsburgh (PSQI) e um instrumento baseado no Questionário de Hábitos Alimentares dos Institutos Nacionais de Saúde dos Estados Unidos (NIH), versão em espanhol. Índice de massa corporal (IMC) e índice de altura da cintura (ICE) foram determinados. Foram utilizados os testes estatísticos Qui-quadrado e Rho de Spearman (Rho). A qualidade do sono esteve significativa e indiretamente associada aos hábitos alimentares (rho=-0,262; p=<0,001). Da mesma forma, foi encontrada correlação estatisticamente significativa e indireta entre a qualidade do sono e o IMC dos participantes (rho=-0,174; p=0,007). Além disso, a qualidade do sono foi positivamente correlacionada com o ICE (rho=0,170; p=0,018). Por outro lado, observou-se que os hábitos alimentares estão indiretamente correlacionados com IMC e EIC (rho=-0,959; p=0,003) e (rho=-0,215; p=0,002, respectivamente). , hábitos alimentares inadequados e excesso de peso foram maiores em relação às mulheres.
