In the following longitudinal study, we analysed the effect of a training program based on fixed bench rowing on the anthropometric measurements and physical condition of female breast cancer survivors. To this end, a training group was established (n=20; 56.35±4.89 years) who carried out two sessions a week of 75 minutes duration using llaut, a fixed seat rowing boats, for a period of 24 weeks. The results show significant improvements in anthropometric variables such as weight (-1.93 kg), body mass index (-.73 kg/m2), waist circumference (-2.82 cm) and hip circumference (-2.02 cm). The results also significantly improve in the following test: counter movement jump (+3 cm), handgrip test of the dominant hand (+4 kgf) and non-dominant hand (+3.66 kgf), the 6-minute walk test (63.05 m) and the sit-and-reach (3.42 cm). Taking these data into account, we can conclude that fixed bench rowing can be a beneficial strategy to promote the improvement of anthropometry and physical condition in women who have overcome the disease, increasing the health and quality of life of the women participants.
