Introduction: Family relationships are often complex in settings like Milagro, impacting adolescents' lives and requiring interventions to strengthen them.
Objective: To strengthen family relationships with adolescents through an interdisciplinary approach to physical and recreational activities.
Methodology: Descriptive, quasi-experimental design with a pre- and post-test approach, using the Family Environment Scale with 47 adolescents.
Results: The pre-test identified complex relationships in the adolescents' family environments, while the post-test showed an improvement in the subscales, presenting a favorable condition in the family environment with significant improvements in conflict, going from 3 to 8, cultural orientation from 4 to 7, and recreation from 3 to 8.
Discussion: The findings are consistent with research that identifies family relationships with problems of communication, support, low parental involvement in their children's activities, etc., which highlights the need to work on family cohesion, considering the interests of young people and the reality of today's families, incorporating physical and recreational activities as a form of expression and social and family connection.
Conclusions: To strengthen family relationships with adolescents in Milagro through physical and recreational activities, an intervention was implemented, integrating psychological approaches, communication strategies and graphic design to create spaces for socialization, allowing parents to recognize the importance of play and physical activity in adolescent development.
