This study evaluated the effectiveness of a 15-week physical exercise program based on the CAIO+ USEK model, designed to im-prove physical and psycho-emotional health in university students with overweight or obesity. A quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-intervention measurements was used to assess body weight, body mass index (BMI), handgrip strength, sleep quality, per-ceived stress, and quality of life. The results showed significant reductions in weight (-0.34%) and BMI (-0.40%), as well as im-provements in muscular strength (+3.58%), sleep quality, and emotional well-being (+16.0%). Although a control group was not included, the findings suggest that structured exercise programs can be an effective strategy to enhance university students’ overall health. Future studies with a control group and longitudinal follow-up are recommended to assess the long-term sustainability of the effects.
