O turismo desportivo feminino como ferramenta de empoderamento e participação contínua no desporto

Resumo

Introdução: As taxas de abandono feminino no desporto continuam a ser um desafio persistente, apesar do aumento da participação em actividades de turismo desportivo. A Teoria do Turismo Desportivo Transformador (TTET) postula que experiências desafiantes e significativas podem promover o empoderamento e a continuidade da prática desportiva.

Objectivo: Analisar como as experiências transformadoras de turismo desportivo contribuem para o empoderamento feminino e para a continuidade da prática desportiva, examinando a interacção entre a motivação intrínseca, a qualidade da experiência, os benefícios percebidos, o suporte social, a identificação com o grupo e o empoderamento prévio.

Metodologia: Foi aplicado um desenho quantitativo com uma amostra de 491 colaboradores de hotéis da base de dados Ecostar (1.200 hotéis). Os dados foram analisados ​​utilizando a Modelação de Equações Estruturais por Mínimos Quadrados Parciais (PLS-SEM) e a Análise Multigrupo (MGA), comparando contextos de aventura/risco e bem-estar/lazer ativo.

Resultados: A qualidade da experiência foi identificada como o preditor mais robusto, influenciando significativamente a motivação intrínseca, os benefícios percebidos, o suporte social e a permanência no desporto. A motivação intrínseca previu diretamente a permanência, enquanto a identificação com o grupo e o suporte social reforçaram os caminhos para a adesão. A análise multigrupo demonstrou que os contextos de aventura potenciam os mecanismos motivacionais, enquanto os contextos de bem-estar enfatizam o suporte relacional.

Conclusões: As experiências transformadoras de turismo desportivo podem funcionar como ambientes estruturados de capacitação que promovem a participação contínua no desporto feminino. A retenção surge da interação entre fatores motivacionais, relacionais e experienciais, condicionados pelo contexto da prática
