Análise PLS-SEM dos fatores que influenciam a qualidade de vida em doentes indonésios com doenças crónicas.

Introdução: As doenças crónicas afectam tanto a saúde física como o bem-estar psicológico, tornando a sua gestão um desafio significativo para os sistemas de saúde. Estas condições reduzem a capacidade funcional e comprometem a qualidade de vida dos indivíduos afetados.
Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo analisar a relação entre a aceitação da doença, a actividade física, a adesão à medicação e a qualidade de vida em doentes com hipertensão, diabetes mellitus e doença pulmonar obstrutiva crónica (DPOC) no distrito de Pidie, Aceh, Indonésia.
Metodologia: Foi aplicado um desenho transversal a uma amostra de 379 adultos com idades compreendidas entre os 35 e os 70 anos, diagnosticados com uma de três doenças crónicas. Os dados foram recolhidos através de questionários estruturados que avaliaram a atividade física, a adesão ao tratamento, a aceitação da doença e a qualidade de vida. Foram realizadas análises de correlação e regressão para examinar as relações entre as variáveis.
Resultados: A atividade física foi o fator que apresentou a associação mais forte com a qualidade de vida, seguida da adesão à medicação, ambas com efeitos significativos. A aceitação da doença apresentou uma relação positiva, mas fraca, enquanto as características demográficas não demonstraram influência significativa nos níveis de qualidade de vida.
Discussão: Estes resultados são consistentes com pesquisas anteriores que indicam que a atividade física regular e a adesão consistente ao tratamento são determinantes essenciais para melhorar o bem-estar das pessoas com doenças crónicas, enquanto a aceitação da condição, isoladamente, proporciona benefícios mais limitados.
Conclusões: Recomenda-se que as intervenções de enfermagem integrem estratégias para promover a atividade física e a adesão terapêutica, para além do apoio psicossocial, de forma a fortalecer a aceitação da doença e melhorar a qualidade de vida.
