Efeitos comparativos da calistenia tradicional e contemporânea no salto vertical de jogadores de voleibol filipinos

Resumo

Introdução: O desempenho no salto vertical é uma componente fundamental no voleibol, especialmente para ataques e blocos. Existem poucas evidências que comparem as abordagens tradicionais e contemporâneas da calistenia para melhorar o desempenho de salto em jovens atletas.   Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo comparar os efeitos dos programas de calistenia tradicional e contemporânea nos saltos com contramovimento e com corrida em jogadores de voleibol do ensino secundário filipino.   Metodologia: Foi utilizado um desenho quase-experimental entre grupos. Sessenta e quatro (64) atletas foram alocados a um de dois grupos: o grupo de calistenia tradicional ou o grupo de calistenia contemporânea. Ambos os grupos participaram num programa de oito semanas, três vezes por semana, com sessões estruturadas. O desempenho foi avaliado antes e depois do programa através de testes de salto. Foram utilizadas as médias, os desvios padrão e os testes t com um nível de significância de 0,05.   Resultados: Ambos os grupos apresentaram melhorias significativas em ambos os tipos de salto. Não se verificaram diferenças significativas nos saltos com contramovimento. No entanto, o grupo de calistenia contemporânea apresentou maiores melhorias no salto com corrida.   Discussão: Os resultados indicam que ambas as abordagens melhoram a potência, mas a abordagem contemporânea favorece o desempenho específico do desporto.   Conclusões: A calistenia é eficaz, com a abordagem contemporânea a destacar-se para a melhoria do desempenho no voleibol.
